AOC badge Association of ChiefsLos Angeles County Fire Department

Register

Membership in the Association of Chiefs is open to the chief officers of the Los Angeles County Fire Department in the classifications assigned to Bargaining Unit 605, across the Fire, Lifeguard, and Forestry Sections, including chiefs serving in an acting or temporary assignment in one of those classifications. Deputy Fire Chiefs and other Department executives who are not eligible for General membership may apply as Associate Members, and retired chief officers who were members in good standing at retirement are welcome as Retirees.

Register with a personal email address and a cell phone; county-issued email addresses and landlines cannot be used. You will confirm both (the phone by a text or a voice call), agree to the Bylaws, and choose how official notices reach you; the Executive Board then activates your account once your membership is verified.

1. Membership type
2. About you
Optional for retirees, but it helps us match you to past rosters.
Choose the classification you occupy, including an acting or temporary assignment in it.
The full date, as e-HR shows it.

These fill in the Pay Estimator for you. They are not shown in the directory or to the Executive Board.

Month and day only. We send a short happy-birthday email on the day. It is never shown in the member directory.
3. How to reach you
County-issued and .gov addresses are not accepted. We will email a confirmation code here.
Required. On the next screen we confirm it with a code. It goes on the membership roster and is used for account recovery.

Optional. Leave it unchecked and the Association never texts you: your codes come by email or a voice call instead. You can change this any time in My Profile.

Your mailing address is visible to the Executive Board only. Other members see your name, rank, status, and username; you decide later whether they can see your phone or email.

4. Your login
Letters and numbers only, 4 to 20 characters. Other members will see it, and only an administrator can change it later. You can also log in with your email address.
At least 12 characters. A phrase you will remember is stronger than a short jumble.
5. Agreement
Next: confirm your email and phone.
